Are you a creative person? Do you like to make crafts, build things, teach yourself new things? If so, our Makerspace is for you. So what exactly is Makerspace you might ask?
Makerspace is a place where you can create, explore, build and teach yourself new things. Some of the activities currently offered in the CRHS Makerspace include:
Legos
Duct Tape Creations
Origami
Adult Coloring Book Pages
Jigsaw Puzzles
Hug & Kiss Boxes
Supplies for making posters and displays
And more
New activities will be added as student interest dictates. Students work, learn and create at their own pace. Come see what Makerspace is all about. See Mrs. Wilson for more information.
When and How You May Use Makerspace: The CRHS Library Media Center has a Makerspace for student use every day during AE. If you would like to use the Makerspace during AE, you should sign up with Mrs. Wilson in the media center in the morning before school begins. She will contact your AE teacher to let them know you want to visit Makerspace. If your AE teacher gives you permission, you can come to Makerspace. You must do this every time you want to participate in Makerspace. There will be a limit of 12 students each day and sign up is first come first served, so sign up early. Students will not be admitted to Makerspace if they just show up without making prior arrangements.
Makerspace Rules:
Follow sign up procedures to attend Makerspace during AE.
Respect other students, the materials and the media center.
Use all the materials you need for your project, but do not waste materials.
Help each other by sharing your knowledge and skills.
Clean up after yourself and return all materials and supplies to their appropriate bins in the cabinet.
When you have completed a project, please let Mrs. Wilson know. She will photograph your project and add it to the Makerspace Wall of Creations pictured above.
